Regional campuses carry full accreditation as integral parts of the undergraduate and graduate programs of IUP. The Pittsburgh East Campus, formerly named the Monroeville Center, was established in 1996.Ĭontrol of the regional campuses is directly vested with the IUP administration and Council of Trustees. In the summer of 2005, the Armstrong campus relocated to a new facility in Freeport and became the Northpointe Regional Campus. The following year, the Armstrong campus in Kittanning was opened. The first regional campus was established in 1962 in Punxsutawney.
